Have a Glock G19 but wish your gun were a little slimmer and more low-profile? Glock has an answer in the form of its new G48, part of the company’s Slimline series of guns.

The G48 in caliber 9mm Luger is of similar length and height as the G19, but the width of the pistol is reduced for increased concealability and high carrying comfort. The magazine capacity of the slim 01 magazine of the G48 is 10 rounds.

The Glock 48 is the big brother of the also new Glock 43X. Both models differ from the original 43 in that they’re a hair wider. That means, while the 43X and 48 share magazines with each other, they don’t share with the original Glock 43. On the plus side, the 43X and this new Glock 48 give you a lot more capacity – 10+1 instead of 6+1 in the standard configuration.

Both the Glock G48 and G43X models feature the same frame size, enabling both guns to accept the new, widened and lengthened single-stack magazine that increases single-stack capacity up to 10 rounds. The lengthened slide on the G48, though, allows Glock owners familiar with the sight picture and profile of the G19 to have the same look and feel in their G48, albeit slimmer.

The increased sight radius of the Glock G48 over the G43X ensures that owners can be more accurate for precision shots, and the Glock factory sights enable them to add on whatever aftermarket sights they desire.
