The Henry Big Boy Brass Side Gate is the latest version of the well known “Big Boy”, but not featuring a side gate to make it possible to top up the 7 round capacity mag tube, without having to drop it from your shoulder. It still comes combined with all the features of Henrys legendary Big Boy rifle, but with the improved quick handling characteristics of a shorter carbine length barrel – shedding nearly a 1lbs. in weight. The compact 16.5″ blued octagonal barrel still maintains all the same accuracy to a standard rifle, with the added factory-installed large loop for rapid lever manipulation, even when wearing gloves. With a total weight of 7.76lbs, and an overall length of 35″, it makes for an easy rifle to pick up – and a difficult one to put down.

This carbine, although featuring a new side loading gate, still has the traditional magazine tube allowing for safe and easy unloading. With both loading options at your disposal, you’ll always have your rifle at the ready.

True to Henry form, these rifles are constructed with exquisite attention to detail, using fine American-made components. Both the straight-grip stock and forearm are crafted of select American walnut accented with a polished brass barrel band and Henry’s signature hardened brass receiver. All have the smooth action and crisp trigger that distinguishes an authentic, American-made Henry.
