This is an experimental version, only a small number were made (about 15,000 rifles) circa 1943-44. The main purpose of this rifle design was to try and find a solution for bayonet loss in the field.
The development was terminated because a large number of full length 91/30 rifles had already been manufactured and the production of shorter m44 with folding bayonet was starting to meet demands.
This model was abandoned and the completed rifles went in storage for decades.
We have a very small quantity of these rifles. Rifle may not be as shown.
